Oppo Reno 5 Camera steals the market’s attention in the early January of 2021. This mid-range smartphone has a premium design as the upgrade of the previous model, Reno 4. It is available with the use of MediaTek mt6889z Dimensity 1000+ processor to replace the impressive Snapdragon 865 chip. Additionally, Oppo supports this device with some notable improvements including fast 65 charging, a 6.5-inch display FHD+ 90 Hz together with the rear quad camera.
Moreover, Oppo completes this device with a 64MP main camera 1/1.73-inch Quad Bayer sensor to support HDR. The device also has a second camera 8MP ultra-wide shooter. It is not the end yet since there is also a 2MP depth sensor along with a 2MP macro camera. To answer the demand for video performance, Oppo Reno 5 Camera has a 4K 2160p or Full HD 1080p. Based on the test using this device at 1080 at 30 fps, the video quality is at its best.
With this camera performance, Oppo Reno 5 Pro has a tight competition with the Xiaomi Mi 10T 5G and Apple’s iPhone SE. Surprisingly, the camera in this device is not much better than its predecessor. It does not mean that it is a bad choice. Oppo improves it with a noticeable improvement for its noise control.

Even better, it has reliable and accurate autofocus. The texture measurement showed that it was 80% acutance to deal with most lighting conditions. Also, this device has a good performance on it.
However, Oppo needs to know that the camera fine details were not well-defined. It is because the device has to do more to capture moving subjects. Well, the evidence is you will see some ghosting and fusion artifacts exist. Even though the noise control has a good performance, but it is still inconsistent. Use this device for a night shot, and it will give you an accurate night portrait, good exposure detail, underexposed background as well. Besides, when you use this device in auto flash mode, the flash seems to fire pointlessly. Therefore, it makes the images look underwhelming, with dull exposures, clipped highlights, yellowish color cast, and visible noise.
On the contrary, when you are using this device in portrait mode, it has good depth-of-field bokeh shots. Also, the blur gradient in nice quality, the sharp areas look realistic as well. Unlike the previous model, Oppo Reno 5 Camera does not come with tele-lens module. Therefore, the Zoom works less effective than the predecessor.
